Are you searching for a cardiologist near Inglewood?
From Morningside Park up to the SoFi corridor, Inglewood residents want a cardiologist they can actually reach. Our Beverly Hills office sits about 15 minutes north on La Cienega Blvd, and most new patients are seen inside two weeks.
Chest pain on the walk to the bus stop. Shortness of breath climbing the steps at the Forum. A racing pulse that wakes you up at 3 a.m. Inglewood residents call our office every week for these reasons, plus pacemaker and defibrillator checks, post-heart-attack follow-up after Centinela discharges, and second opinions on stent or bypass recommendations. If any of that sounds familiar, an in-office evaluation is the next step.
A cardiac diagnosis lands on the whole household. Spouses change schedules. Adult kids start driving in from the South Bay or the Antelope Valley. At the Center for Advanced Cardiac and Vascular Interventions, our cardiologists for Inglewood patients have spent thirty-plus years and 15,000-plus procedures inside the LA County hospital system. We sit with the family during the visit, lay out what each test will show, and write the plan down so nothing gets lost between the appointment and the pharmacy.
Find out the cause of your heart condition.
Most Inglewood referrals fall into one of a few buckets: a primary care doctor at Kaiser West LA caught a rhythm issue on a routine EKG, the ER at Centinela ruled out a heart attack but said “follow up with cardiology,” or a family member with hypertension and Type 2 diabetes wants a baseline workup before something happens. We run the cardiac evaluation in-office and treat coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, post-heart attack recovery, arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, mitral valve and aortic valve disease. The drive south on La Cienega from Inglewood to our office runs about 15 minutes outside rush hour.
Inglewood Cardiac Specialists
The Inglewood-Centinela-Hawthorne corridor sits inside one of the harder-hit cardiovascular risk zones in LA County. Black residents here face a heart disease mortality rate measurably higher than the LA County average, and diabetes prevalence in 90301-90305 runs above the state mean. Our cardiologists who serve Inglewood patients built the practice around exactly that gap: catching disease early in working-age adults, not just after the first hospital admission. The schedule is set up so patients coming down La Cienega from Inglewood, Lennox, or Hawthorne are not stuck waiting weeks for an echo or a stress test.
Be prepared.
If chest pain hits at home in Inglewood, do not drive yourself or wait for a rideshare. Call 911.
The closest ER for most of Inglewood is Centinela Hospital Medical Center at 555 E Hardy St. For the eastern side of the city, Kaiser Permanente West LA on Cadillac Ave is a 12-minute drive. Public AED locations include SoFi Stadium, the Kia Forum, and the Inglewood Library on Manchester Blvd; see AED placement guidance if you manage a workplace and have not deployed one. After the ER stabilizes you, call us to set up cardiology follow-up. Most acute-MI survivors need to be seen by cardiology within 7 days of discharge.
The first visit for Inglewood patients runs about 60 to 75 minutes at our Beverly Hills office (8741 Alden Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90048). The drive up from Inglewood via La Cienega is short, but a 9:30 a.m. or 10 a.m. slot clears the SoFi traffic on stadium and Forum event days. The visit covers a focused exam, a 12-lead EKG, an in-office echocardiogram when symptoms warrant it, a brown-bag review of every prescription bottle you bring in, and a family-history workup that pays close attention to siblings, parents, and children with early heart disease. Labs draw on-site and result in 48 hours. You leave with a written plan, not just a portal note.
Protect your heart.
Trust Your Heart to Our Expert Care
South LA Service Planning Area 6 – which includes Inglewood, Hawthorne, and parts of South LA – records cardiovascular mortality rates measurably above the LA County average. Hypertension affects roughly 1 in 3 adults in 90301 and 90305. Early evaluation is the lever that moves these numbers.

High blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and smoking are key risk factors for heart disease. About half of Americans (47%) have at least one of these three risk factors.

What our patients say
Inglewood has an emergency room. That is a different question.
Centinela Hospital Medical Center is on East Hardy Street, inside the city, and its emergency department is open around the clock. If you are having chest pain, that is where an ambulance takes you, and calling 911 is the right call rather than driving anywhere.
What an emergency room does not do is the part that comes afterwards. Once the immediate danger has passed, somebody has to work out why it happened, whether the arteries are narrowed, whether the rhythm is the problem, and what the next twelve months should look like. That is scheduled cardiology, and it is what our Los Angeles office on Alden Drive does.
The two are not in competition. One stabilises, the other investigates.
The drive, and how to make it shorter
Our Los Angeles office is at 8741 Alden Drive, on the Cedars-Sinai campus. From Inglewood that is La Cienega north, or the 405 to the 10 if the surface streets are busy. Around events at SoFi Stadium and at the airport peak it is worth avoiding Century and Manchester altogether.
Appointments booked mid-morning generally mean a shorter drive than the first slot of the day.
Tests in the building rather than referred out
EKG, echocardiogram, stress testing and vascular ultrasound are done in our own rooms. If the rhythm will not reproduce itself on demand, you leave wearing a monitor and we read several days of recording instead of twelve seconds of it.
For a patient making a drive across the city, one visit that produces answers is worth more than three that each produce a referral.
